Govan Stone Pendant

This is a Gaelic/Pictish design from the 7th – 8th century CE, found in Argyle, Scotland. It has a four knot circle of three-pointed Trinity knots. The number “3” is a lucky number in Celtic folk culture, and it is believed that four of them may represent good fortune through the four seasons. Although quite simple, it is a very interesting piece.
