Tathra , Queen of Dragons

Based on the Heggen Vane, the Dragon has her mane, sweeping back from her 3D carved head.The body was inspired by a beast from the bordering of MS.Bible,Advocates Library,Edinburgh.The work includes COLORIT light cured quartz enamel.The Master took me 170+ hours of work to produce and 12+hours for each replica.Tathra will change over the years as new colours are added and you can order which colour changes you wish and we can place them into the leaves and eyes.

Dates to the late (th Century Irish Harness work.Found in 1950 in a womans grave at Soma Farm Norway.It had been made in Gold gilt bronze with amber set in the center. It had been converted into a brooch.

8th-9th century St Berechtir.Tullyleash Co Cork.This beautiful knot has a great tail to tell as it has the name of a Saxon prince ,one of three who fled Britian to Ireland after the Synod of whitby 664AD,carved down one side and the Cross it self is from the Great Carpet Cross of St Matthews Gospel Book of Lindisfarne.

Irish harness. Late 9AD found at a site in Norway known as Soma Farm in 1950.The central design I has adopted from a decorated rivit head that holds the cross on the face of the Ardagh Chalice.
