The great saga of Tain Bo Cuailnge (The Cattle Raid of Cuailnge)is belived to be one of the oldest oral legends of Western Europe. The zoomorphic heads of the bracelete represent the Brown and White Bulls.

The faces of the bracelet are inspired by the Great "Tara", brooch that dates back to the 7-8AD Ireland.They appear to me to be calves heads, and the brooch would have belonged to a high status person.This piece of Jewellery took Desmond 150 hours to carve in Wax and prepare after casting as a Master.Each bracelet then takes over 12 hours of fettling,recarving with a high speed hand set and burnishing.This bracelet has been annealed three times.A choice of Blue Green,or Red eyes in the COLORIT enamel is available.

From 2AD South Sheilds Roman Fort excavation.It was a pair of harness mounts made in bronze.Interestingly there is a similar design from Clwyd in Wales that dates from the 1st century AD, and this was also horseware.

The Durrow on a wrist.

Here we can give you a view of the bracelet as it is worn.This is a heavy Sterling Silver bracelete that has been heat annealed 4 times, hand worked for 6 hours with fret saw and high speed handset using cutting burrs as small as .6mm.Hand burnished and buffed to a rich finish.It is a collectors piece.
